Music Camp Scholarships

At Fulton Middle School’s end-of-year concert on June 2, 2011, an extremely talented and motivated 7th grade student was given a full scholarship to an intermediate session of Arrowbear Music Camp.  This camp, located in the beautiful region between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake, is a music enrichment camp that Fred R. Peters supported for years.  His yearly tradition of giving “anonymous” scholarships to Arrowbear was continued this year, with the selection of a student from 11 applications.   Help us send more of these students to camp each year by getting involved with us and consider making a tax-deductible donation to this valuable program.

Arrowbear Music Camp and other camps like it are an essential part of developing local music programs.  By getting students interested in music and excited about their school band or orchestra, we are creating the demand for music education that school boards and administrations need to see if music classes are to be funded.  With your support, we can send more students to this amazing program in 2012.  We are currently collecting applications for our 2013 recipient of the Arrowbear scholarship.  If you know a motivated young musician who deserves to attend, download our application file and send it in to us.
