The Freesax Foundation’s directors, Fred S. Peters, Melissa Moran and Rosemary Peters, are thrilled to announce that the Fred R. Peters Freesax Foundation for Music Education has been awarded a grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation to help underwrite our programs for the 2012 school year! Facility #6613, the Sam’s Club store in the Long Beach Town Center, in partnership with the Wal-Mart Foundation’s Community Contribution/Hunger Outreach Grant Program, selected The Freesax Foundation to receive a $1000.00 grant. This is an enormous step for our foundation and represents a quantum leap forward in our funding. This grant will completely fund one of our core programs in 2013, our Music Camp Scholarship program where we send a worthy student to Arrowbear Music Camp, a music enrichment camp held each summer in beautiful Lake Arrowhead, CA. If you know a student who is interested in attending Arrowbear please contact us about our music camp program.
